The Perfect Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies!

These are our favorite cookies in the world! Children in our neighborhood call it *dope* because they are so addicting.  Recipe below the picture!
I finally have this recipe available in Norwegian!  Chocolate Chip Cookies - Recipe in Norwegian




INGREDIENTS
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups flour
1 cup chocolate chips or chunks


DIRECTIONS
1. Keep butter and eggs at room temperature before starting (THIS HELPS). 
In a large mixing bowl beat butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds or until it gets fluffy. Add brown sugar, granulated sugar, and baking soda and baking powder. Beat until combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionally. Beat in eggs and vanilla until combined. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer. Using a wooden spoon, stir in any remaining flour. Stir in chocolate pieces and, if desired, nuts.
2. Drop dough by rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
3. Bake in a 375 °F oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Let cool on wire rack.  Makes about 60 cookies.
